Help Hide the GPS status reticle

How do I hide the the GPS status bar icons. It is very annoying....

Is your phone rooted? If not, there is no way of doing it. If you are rooted, there are ways of modifying files to do so. I believe it's in a file called services.jar. Either way, you can flash a ROM that already has this done.

I'm rooted is used Z4 root it does it for you. Now I'm a novice at this so can you give me some links that will guide me on how to install a rom or navigate to the service.jar, I have never done that before sorry for my ignorance. Although I really do catch on fast so any help would be great.;)

First, you're going to need to root with a full root method. z4root only gives you soft root. By that, I mean you have root level permissions in your current ROM, but you don't have S-OFF, which you need to write to /system. You should start by doing a full root method. I'm not sure how old your phone is, or what current hboot/sw version you're on, but unrevoked will work for all versions. Follow the Rooting for Dummies guide in the root section for how to get full root using unrevoked. Once you do that, you can consider flashing different ROMs. If you need more information, let me know. You definitely, need to start there, though.
