Help Hide unwanted app updates in market?

I do not use Facebook or YouTube but obviously they both came pre-installed on the phone.

When I go into my apps page in the market they are both there at the top telling me there is an update.

Is there any way to somehow hide these from the app screen as I do not intend to ever update these apps but don't really want them showing there for ever?

This can be done for rooting phones by breaking Market links.
Perhaps, you can use AppBrain to sync and update your apps. As far as I remember, you can select not to update certain apps there permanently.
