hiding pictures and disabling sms notification

Newbie
hey guys,

first of all just got my eris for verizon and i LOVE this phone.
coming from the storm this is such a wonderful change.

2 quick questions ( i know i saw the 2nd one somewhere but couldn't for the life of me find it by searching).

#1) is there any way to make a single picture or a folder of pictures private?
on my storm there was both an option to simply "hide" a picture, as well as a "filelock" application which made media files only accessible with the input of a password.
any suggestions on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

#2) i have downloaded handcent which i love, however what i would like to do now is eliminate the double notifications and just have all my sms alerts run thru handcent.
i played around in all the different settings folders and couldn't seem to solve that problem.

any suggestions for either issue would be great! thanks guys.

ok so i'm ******** and figured out how to fix #2 fairly easily.
however i really could use some advice on how to hide pictures ;)

Per-file privacy settings is not supported by Android. You'll have to find a custom photo app that implements it. Sorry, no tips from me...:(

File Cover Free will hide pictures from any folder and password protect them. Then from the app you can view all hiding pics from one place.
