Help 'Hit and miss' emails

Can anyone explain why some of my e-mails come through on my HTC Sensation and some on my computer? The odd one or two will come through the same on both, but most of the time it's 'either or' Other people I know with android phones say ALL their e-mails come through the same on BOTH!

Difficult to understand as you can have a lot of variables:
The email supplier
The protocol used IMAP/POP
The email client you use, for example I use the Gmail app

Thanks

The protocol is POP3 and the email supplier is virgin - any suggestions?

If you have POP3 in the phone and in the PC, it can happen that one of the 2 downloads the message and delete it from the server.
This should not happen using IMAP

Probably underlying cause is as last post suggests. Normally for ISP email accounts (not Googlemail etc) when the computer downloads the email it deletes it from the server. So if the phone checks afterwards it is gone.

Sounds like your phone is doing the same. You can change the phone's actions by opening Sense email app then menu > more > settings > send and receive and then untick the "delete mail on server" box.
