Hitting Middle Keys on Note in landscape mode

For those who have the Note already, how is typing in landscape mode especially hitting the keys in the middle rows, meaning the:
TY
GH
VB

I cut out of paper pad a mock Note and my thumbs don't meet in the middle and they are about in inch apart. Is that a problem or can you roll over to the keyes. The pad I made isn't sturdy and bends so I want to know what the real users are doing. It may be better to lie it flat on a table, if one is convenient.

Well, that's a great idea. Never saw that before. It probably should be part of the Note O/S

Really improves the experience massively, I had similar misgivings prior to getting the Note as I haven't got particularly long thumbs
