Root "Hold" button, cyanogenmod

i'm running the latest cyanogenmod rom. my problem is that I keep hitting the "hold" button during phone calls with my handsomely chiseled cheek-bone and silencing the call. Any way to move, or remove that button? I tried left-hand mode, and I tried dialer 1. No good. I also checked the proximity sensor and it works when i test it with my thumb. nevertheless, i keep putting my calls on hold. Ideas?

I would elect the "plastic surgery" option and have that cheekbone repaired. Sure, it's a quick software fix now, but who knows how much damage that bone will cause down the road.... Technology is only getting more advanced.
