holding the home button

Holding the home button on my s3 doesn't work anymore and I have no idea why. Does anybody know how to turn the function back on? Ive not been able to access task manager or running apps (which I frequently did to flick between 2 or 3 at a time)

Did you try a re-boot? Just a thought.

Dont think theres a setting for that on stock mate. Did the problem start after updating to 4.1?

I'm using stock on Sprint so it does still work. Not sure why OP's doesn't. Re-boot might help. Though it's not necessary. I shut down/re-boot every 1-2 weeks. That seems to prevent me from running into this and many other issues that pop up now and then.
