Little late now, as I'm leaving Metro but a few months ago when I got my Esteem I got an extended battery which made my phone a lot thicker. No, it wasn't the humpback whale look, but just a lot thicker. My holster for the LG Esteem was so tight it got stretched. I tried to find a roomier holster but didn't have luck.
Here's what I was looking for and have now found while perusing the Galaxy Nexus accessories: a holster that will fit a phone + Otterbox Defender case. If it will fit an otterbox it will also work with an extended battery!

I'm not saying to buy these two specifically -- they are for the Galaxy Nexus, which is a slimmer phone.
What I am saying is look for something like this, specifically mentions the "Defender" Otterbox which is thicker than the Otterbox "Commuter", AND the Defender has a clip on the back.
So, ANY holster that will fit a phone + Otterbox Defender case will also fit a phone + extended battery!
So, you guys with extended batteries THAT is what you search for -- a holster advertised as one that will also be rooming enough for the thicker otterbox (Defender).
If you don't find one for the Esteem specifically, look for one advertised for a phone with similar dimensions. There's lots of 4.3" Androids out there right now.
