Sorry, cant help being facetious. It would be nice if it were that simple.

Ive honestly got no idea. Everytime we give a systematic approach to troubleshooting, we dont get any feedback so I never know where we're at.

I recommend RUU it, leave it. Lets see what happens personally.

So by see what happens, I just leave it alone? Cos that kinda seems like they'll be no way of me testing it to find out further information...

Either its a rogue app or its hardware. RUU it, leave it alone and see what happens. Then if it seems stable you can start adding things gradually as previously advised.

Okay, thanks again for the help. I'll be back with results after. But there was one more thing I was meaning to ask, if I RUU it back to it's stock ROM, *THEN* put another ROM on there, will that make a difference? After I've seen if it still works obviously, because an RUU is done via a PC, where as the other ROM's can be done via the phone.

Had a feeling that one was 3... Thanks.

Err, guys... I went into recovery mode and found and selected every format and wipe option in there (With the exception of format SD card and format SD ext) and now when I try to switch on my phone it takes me to a different but similar version of the screen you get when you switch the phone on by holding down the power and volume down button... What have I done?

I was about to tell you guys I am currently running the RUU, but then it gave me this error:

"ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR

The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.

Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again."

Don't worry about the previous issue guys, I solved it by re-installing the MIUI ROM... Back to the matter at hand... What does that error mean?

By the way, I did have it on lower than 30% battery life and it was on the fastboot mode while I done it, if that makes any difference...

The bootloader you have is too new, probably due to the voda one you flashed before.

Best bet is to make your card a gold card, and flash the 2.29.405.5 from our toolbox thread for now

Okay... Can you give me the ink to that again? Also considering the fact that I performed a *FULL* wipe, which I hadn't done before, should I keep it as it it is just for a bit more before performing an RUU?

The toolbox is in my signature and the "all about rooting" sticky thread. All sticky threads are at the top of this desire root forum

When I click on it it says I need to sign in, and my account details are not getting me in, so how do I get in? Also, I cleared an SD card, made it a goldcard, then put all it files back on... If I wanted to use that would it still work?

Since this post, we have had to password protect the toolbox thread as the bandwidth is being sucked up (30GB this month already).

The details have been posted towards the end of that thread by Rastaman-FB, with a username and password.

Okay, Thanks. Just one more question... I made a GoldCard and put stuff on the card, is it still a GoldCard despite being re-filled with files, and will it work?
