Help Home button and volume buttons

Rooted and put on the overlocking kernel.

Then I did a factory reset and lost the home button and volume buttons. What are the steps to flash them back?

I'm actually handing it off to a non-power user. What are the steps to maybe return it to as factory as possible?

I have the metro pcs version. I had to flash down and flash up to get the root.
