Home Button Is A Let Down

I switched from a Blackberry Torch to the GS2. I can't stand how the home button on the GS2, does not have a scroll feature!!! It is so annoying trying to click on a word to fix 1 letter and constantly missing the wrong letter. The Torch let u scroll , giving u amazing accuracy. The SGS2, for being such a high tech phone, is sure missing a HUGE important feature.

You could download a different keyboard - I use smart keyboard and it has directional arrows that allow you to move more accurately through blocks of text

Well, HTC has a similar thing, so why not a samsung system similar?
I miss it too.

Only older htc phones have a track pad - the more recent ones such as the sensation don't have one

I totally agree. I mistakenly thought the home button was a scroll button when viewing this phone online. If anyone has an answer to better scrolling please share. The damn select word, select all pop-up gets more in the way than helps, can disable?

They standard swype keyboard supports this too. Swype from the swype key to the 123/SYM key and you'll get a funky arrow key / copy/paste/ pgdn etc keyboard

Chalk this up to different strokes for different folkes. I find the blue triangle to be incredibly easy to use for placing the cursor. Sorry you're not happy.
