Help Home Button Issue

I've been using my HTC Sensation without issue for months but during the past month i've encompassed an issue that i cannot seem to resolve. Every once in a while (enough to be really annoying), whenever i press the Home button, instead of being taken back to the Home screen my phone takes a screenshot of the screen, no matter what app i am using. I also have a friend with a HTC Sensation experiencing exactly the same issue. Anyone else out there experiencing this? Is this a setting somewhere or a software bug?
 
The Sensation should only take a screen shot when you press the power button and the HOME button in same time.

So you might have a look at your power button.

My phone used to register a single press of the home button as a double press as well as the issue above and mine was sorted by installing a custom ROM and kernel. I agree it is software related because if i flash the stock kernel again then the issue is present.

You may potentially want to look into rooting and flashing a custom ROM, if not i think it's likely to be a wait until the next software update

Yes, hopefully we'll get the ICS update in February

This issue has been present for at least the past couple of software updates :-(
 
I've experienced this, but the last update mostly fixed it. I do get the problem nowadays, however, when I'm charging the phone. I think my charging socket may be defective though - current ends up going through the casing, too.

Yes, I have this issue quite often, but not all the time. It's very annoying :mad:
Android 2.3.4
HTC Sense 3.0
Software number 1.45.110.3

The forums are full of people complaining about it, but no response from HTC or the operators (other than reset your phone ... sigh :rolleyes:)
 
You'd think HTC would release a fix as it is really annoying and making me consider Samsung for my next mobile.
