Help home button long presses itself

this started happening to me a couple of days ago, about half the times i would press the home button, the recent apps window would come up. it started happening more and more often. just now if i leave the phone alone at the home screen, the home button long presses itself and launches the recent apps window all on it's own. any help would be greatly appreciated. anything from how to disable recent apps screen from ever coming up, to fixing the problem itself.
 
Sounds like you may have a warranty issue on your hands. I haven't had any problems with mine and I have several friends and co workers with the same phone and they haven't had an issue either.
 
I call it the ghost touch, posted about this awhile back got no resposes.
For me its the menue button. random, comes and goes not as bad as it was.
When i go to a store it stops, great isnt it.
 
after hearing everyone else blame the charger cable, i disregarded it completely forgetting i had just bought a 5 dollar walmart car charger. That was the problem. hasnt ghost touched even once in a week. could be cheap charger or maybe all car chargers? Anybody ghosts with car charger?
