I have had two galaxies, a 4, now a 6 edge. With both I have encountered the problem that when the phone is in my pocket, the home button gets pressed and the phone wakes. I don't know that this is happened in till I take the phone out of my pocket, this ends up wasting a lot of battery and opening apps that I don't want opened. is it possible to set the home button so that it will not wake the phone?

i haven't found a solution to this, but do you have some kind of lock set (pattern/pin/finger print) so that the screen powers back off after a few seconds?

just put a thumb print lock on it

Turn the phone the other way. Most likely, the fabric on your pants won't click the Home Button
