Help home internet

I am having problems when I send, recieve texts, place my phone near my Home desktop my Home internet lags seriously bad when i am receiveng anything on my droid x... Is there anything that I can do to fix?

Are you that is the problem have you tried to do controlled expierements with your not around the desktop then bring it in and exc..

If i keep my phone about 4 feet from desktop and router. I have no issues

Call Verizon? Is the service just bad in your house? Your phone and your computer have nothing to do with one another.

i understand that. However the issue still remains that when I recieve text on my droid my home internet stops until the text message is recieved

probably just the nature of radion interference.
dont know what you could do other then seperation. router is reaching all over the house so it has strength.
phone is reaching a tower miles away....lot of signal strength.
