Help Home key not working

Last few days my home button seems not to be working properly. The keypress is definitely registered as the screen flickers and the notification bar appears.

I'm using Go Launcher and have the button mapped to home screen then preview. This has not changed recently. Have changed it but nothing different happened. A reboot worked yesterday but not when it did it today.

Not changed rom or kernel for weeks so am hoping/thinking it may be an app issue.

Anyone seen this?

i've have something similar with go luncher and it's been the same with every rom i've tried with it. To cure mine, i have to manually lock the screen then unlock it and all is ok. However i have to do this once, everytime i reboot. Never found another cure.

It's always an app. What have you installed or updated lately?

With 88 user apps its hard to keep track of what's updated lately. I've not installed anything new for a while and I can't see anything that should have affected it.

I reckon it may be Go Launcher which I'm sure has been updated lately. I've exited out out the Launcher and gone back in using the home key and all seems well again ... for now. Sent an error report so maybe something will get done.

Solved.....sort of.

I use Phoneweaver to have a pin lock when not at home. Strangely when at home and no lock is on the home key always goes haywire. Just realised it never happens anywhere else. So I switched to another profile +pin to unlock) and then back to home profile and the home key works again.

Will keep an eye on it and see how much of an issue it is otherwise I'll just have to drop the pin code security altogether.

Hey, GrenW, i just tried disabling the pin code to unlock my phone and the home button works fine now, so definately an issue with pincode.

Yeah. Have read similar things. Definitely a lock issue rather than with my profiling app. May try the gesture/pattern lock.
