Help home menu back..light

How can I get the "home" "menu" "back" and search buttons to light up? Thanks.

They're controlled by the ambient light sensor to the left of the Verizon branding. If you cover that, they will light up. When those buttons aren't lit, then it typically means you're in a well-lit area.

Thank you. I've had my Inc 24 hours and they have lit up once. Odd.

Does anyone know if there's a setting to override the ambient light sensor and have them dark or lit all the time?
