Help Home number issue

ok here is my problem

i have many contacts with multiple numbers and i have labeled them home work and mobile.

but when i go to text people and type in there name the suggestions i get in some cases are the home number. then accidently i send it to there land line and then they get the robot voice telling them the text.

what im looking for is a way that the home and work numbers never get offered as an option so there is no mistake.

any ideas?

There is a way, but at the momemt I can't remember how to do it fully.... here's the bit I can remember.
Open the contact page for the person, this should list all the numbers you have for them, I think it's long press on the number you want to have as the most often used method of contacting, then it should let you put that as the
'primary' contact method. When you next send a text it will offer up the primary contact method first.
This is the format on stock Desire running 2.2

Otherwise, try adding all your contacts to your google account and sync them to the phone after editing them all through gmail. that should sort it :)
