Not sure if it can be done. But I know I can change 3 of the 4 dock icons. Iam a long time iPhone user and sold my iPhone4 to jump into the Captivate.

Just curious if I can change the Applications icon in the dock or is it there to stay?

Someone just posted this on a thread above. Give it a try

Apps -> menu button -> View type -> Customizable grid -> menu button -> edit -> slide your apps you want to the bottom bar (Home is locked) -> menu button -> save.

The forum's search function and the Captivate FAQ (a forum sticky, mentioned in many users' signatures and in most threads) is your friend. Always best to check there first.
