Home screen auto rotate not working

I just noticed that my home screen no longer auto rotates. Not sure when it changed. I didn't realize until I bought a vent mount holder for my car. Placed my droid mini in the holder in landscape orientation and that's when I noticed the icons were not rotating anymore. Is there a fix for this?
 
As far as I know, the stock launcher for the Droid Mini has never rotated to landscape on any home screens. Do you use a replacement launcher, such as nova, that supports this feature?
 
Have not tried that. Was wondering if it would affect using the stock Motorola assist and google now app. So I just keep using the Motorola launcher to keep that functionality.
 
It has been a long time since I tried the stock launcher on the Maxx. As doogald reported it is always in portrait mode. I use Nova Launcher Prime with a plug-in and among a few hundred other things it does auto rotate.
