Help Home screen folder for File path

athegn

Android Expert
Tried to follow this:-

"In the first screen picture you can see the unnamed new folder to the left of the Weather. In the next screen picture is the opened Folder's contents. These were done this morning.
I use ES File Explorer where I select the items that I eventually want in the "folder" In ES File explorer press and hold the item you want, a pop up will appear.Among the many options at the bottom you will see "Shortcut" hit that and a shortcut to your selected file will appear on you Homescreen. Then simply create the new folder, name it if you want and drag the created shortcut into the new folder

Hope this helps"

When I installed ES File Explorer on my Tab 2 I do not see /Root/extSDCard, only /Sdcard/, under Local (which is all I see ES does not show the root directory either), which is the 32GB internal memory. I have, at present, a 2GB micro sd card which "My Files" sees as /root/extSDCard.

Can anyone please tell me how I can see extSdCard in ES Explorer and how I can create a folder on my Home Screen pointing to extSdCard/Films?

Using ES Settings I have changed the Home path to /

But once there I cannot get to extSdCard only Sd Card/

Found the answer:-

"..ExtSdcard ,
With ES File Explorer you can manage files on both your sdcard and your extSDcard.
you can press the "favourite" button on tool bar then you can see it
Or you can set /mnt as Home directory by going to settings→home directory→input /mnt
so that you can switch from sdcard to extSdcard easily.."

Did that then long press on /Films and created a shortcut.
