Help Home screen lag

Thanks. I probably could have found it if I read through this whole post.

Note: this place is much more help oriented with fewer of the nasty comments (fun joking aside) than many other forums (not necessarily phones)

thats one of the reasons i still use Phandroid/Android Forums...while it may not be the most hardcore in terms of development (we usually have to go elsewhere to FIND mods and such) they people here are always great..

Hi every one so is every one not getting the redraw anymore? Because I am! Not as often but randomly can open lots of tabs in the browser and nothing then open one tad and it will just do it, is anyone else getting this still or is it just me

Seems there is a solution, I've applied it and so far no redraws . Go to xda Solved Launcher reload, how to fix (tutorial) - No ROOT needed ! - xda-developers

Seems removing the weather widget and a reboot does the trick.

so your saying that what causes the lag is the weather widget that comes with the phone?

Restarting the phone fixes the problem for a while. I am sure it's a bad memory management. I hope it gets fixed on Jelly Bean or I will go back to IOS.

hey there,i had tge same problem,and was annoyed,i performed alot of things,i do not know which one exactly speeded up the performance but here's what i did,as most forums said,swich off s-voice on double tap home button+change the window animation to "none" + remove all widgets from home screen that is updateable such as yahoo,twitter,and disable update with respect to wether widget...and the most important thing is to return the default backround for home screen and lock screen and remove ripple effect,restart the device and its super duper fast ,hope it helps...
