i have 5 home screens but somehow when i press the home button, it goes to the last screen. How do i change it to go to the middle screen which was always the default but somehow changed?

Thanks!

While on the home screen, press Menu and look for the option to Edit Page. On this screen you'll see all your home screens and house icons. Click the house icon for the page you want to be "home".
