Looking for app suggestions.... I'd like to be able to stream media files from pc to phone over wifi at home WITHOUT having to connect to internet. Seen anything like this? Thanks

You mean file sharing over wifi?

Use a File Exploring app (e.g. Astro, ES File Explorer). Basically, open the app, and go to the tab that has "network" and you should be able to access the computer that has the files, as long as the cpu is open to be accessed by any computer connected to the network and/or accessible by your phone.
