Help Home wifi

I have been having alot of trouble lately connecting to my home wifi network i try connecting and it says its connected but the icon at the top just stays gray or it says can not connect at this time non rooted and new here so any help would be appreciated

Yes and that still doesn't do anything

That happens to me from time to time, I just reboot and it will work. After reboot turn on from settings, it always works.

I have done that to and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

Some routers require to be restarted before allowing additional wifi connections. Make sure to tru restarting both the phone and the wireless router and try again.
Also, remember that the phone's wifi radio antenna may not be really strong. Try while being close to the router (physically), and increase the distance afterwards.

Seems to be working ok now, thanks for your help. One other thing is that i tried looking but didnt see it anywhere but how can i put the phone is just 1x mode? I am going somewhere where there is no 4g coverage.

Success - Turn 4G off and keep it off!

Yeah, that will save you A LOT of battery!

What you mean? No 1x? While on global mode, try turning off the 4g using the lte functionality test shortcut (**583385##) and see where that leads you. At least you won't need to reboot first to check if you got to 1x! Lol!
In any case, if it doesn't show up at first, try opening the/a web browser and see if it jars it back to life.

I did that and couldnt get any kind of 1x signal so i was stuck with just texting and calling. Turned off 4g and had it on cdma only but the 1x icon never showed im thinking it might be shy lol

I have no problem with the battery life. My biggest and only problem is that whenever I go outside of the 4g coverage area the 1x icon nevers comes up so I cant access any data which really sucks lol
