After looking at your screenshot, the obvious question I have for you is if you have an adequate internet connection. Sorry if this is a basic question, but it's a start.
Thank you Steven!. I have a router at home that delivers Internet connection to all devices at home as well as to the Chromecast device. The Chromecast is otherwise working properly with other applications, f.i. it works fine when casting YouTube videos.
/thx
That happened to me, once. I forgot what I did. It was many months ago. Lemme think on it.
It happens time to time with me. I have to either reboot the router even though the other devices are connected. Or I have to reboot chrome cast
Your screen capture indicates your problem is not a Home <> Chromecast connection problem but rather something relative to your home network and connectivity with online access, or more specifically according the wording in the error message itself, with Google. Apparently your Chromecast is just an end-result so focusing more on the source of the problem, possibly your router and/or your broadband connection:
-- What kind of router do you have, an ISP-supplied modem/router unit or do you have your own separate router? If your own, what model?
-- Who is your ISP?
