Honeycomb on Galaxy Tab 7?

They've already answered no to that question, Android 3 needs a dual core processor. :( I read that the day i bought my tab.
 
According to Android Central and others I trust there is no minimum hardware requirements. Doesn't mean we will get Honeycomb officially, but XDA will come through you can bet on it.
 
Yeah, I have read that there are no minimun hardware requirements. But I am not confident that we will get Honeycomb from Samsung unless it is ported by someone over XDA (hope I am wrong).

Honeycomb actually has no min requirements. Dual core is just recommended to make it go faster

I actually dont think we will officially get honeycomb on gTab 7", because lets face it Samsung isn't known for its updates lol.

But I know your right about xda, because one brave soul is working on it now: Porting honeycomb to the Galaxy Tab *update 3/21/11* - xda-developers
 
I'm thinking that the 7" tab will be redesigned to look like the 8.9" and 10.1" tab. And that one will have Android 3.0.

Edit: The purfect time to redesign the 7" tab is when Samsung adds the 4g(LTE, WiMax) radios.

Normally, I would disagree with you about them even considering making a new 7", but I know how Samsung sees what people want and releases another version with those features no matter how small(ex. Vibrant).
 
$350 for a 7" tab with 2.2 and a one year old chipset? Needs a dual core to justify that price. And a non proprietary USB port.

The dual core + Honeycomb thingy is from Google. Other devices can run it, but designed for larger displays (tablets) and not phones.

Samsung is $100 too high on the 7" Tab. 2.2 and an older chipset will not fool many folks to pay $350.

The spec seems off what is posted on main page, since the spec on Sammy's own site shows 2gb internal and not 32gb. Also comes with a 16gb card.

Yeah "recommended", not required. Like games that lists specs, requires 2.4GHz or higher CPU, recommended 3GHz dual core. Doesn't mean it won't run on lower. :)
 
Have a galaxy tab and a xoom... gotta tell you, not too impressed with honeycomb so far. Until they get an ADW version out for honeycomb, im gonna hold off.

Btw, comparing the 7' inch tab to the 10' xoom, i like the form factor on the tab a lot more... so much more portable and easy to manage!

Yeah I prefer custom rom rather than official rom as long as it is rooted as I need to modify some fonts to support my language.
