Help Hong Kong usb cables from ebay not working. (resolution: more than likely defective)

I purchased 4 new cords off eBay listed as oem HTC cords and they won't charge my phone. The charge light comes on but the battery doesn't charge.
What gives ?

^ What he said. Try to get a refund for DOA. If they don't charge then they don't charge.

They came from Hong Kong so I will just eat it. Why does it say its charging but the battery still goes dead?
