Root Hoping someone can help me

Right, me Desire has to go back to T-Mob to get repairs.

Now, I am rooted and had LeeDroid on it, so it will need to be unrooted with the T-Mob software back on.

I have been on Shipped roms and downloaded some T-Mob Roms but every one of them tells me I am using the wrong RUU for the phone.

So I am at a loss as to what to do to get it back as I figure they won't fix it if it has been rooted etc.

Any help... please...

Assuming you have a GSM Desire, where are you located?http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...io_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_122755.exe

What exactly does the RUU say? Could you please phrase the error exactly as it is given?

Were some early t-mobs unbranded or was that 3?

From more trolling round the net it would appear that I have the wrong bootloader from the roms I have tried.

Two of the threw up that the bootloader was incorrect (error 140), the other two wouldn't open.

On bootloader 0.83.0001.

Stumped.

Have you got a gold card?

There are only 2 UK TMO RUU's and they're both android 2.1 so you won't be able to use those without using teppic74's downgrade tool.

However, it needs to be bootable to use that so you'll need to use a goldcard and run the unbranded version first to fix the phone.

Well I made a goldcard when rooting originally so I assume that wont have changed?

How do I get the downgrade tool to work if it is stuck on the HTC start up screen? Phone literally won't load up now...

You can't use the downgrade tool if the phone doesn't boot. You'll have to boot into fastboot mode (Back plus power from off) and run an unbranded RUU to fix the phone in a workable state. Hence the goldcard question.

Then you can downgrade.

Ok, sorry to sound dense here but that's part of my issue here, once I get into the bootloader menu, I can't really do anything.

If I try going into recovery mode it just hangs on the HTC start up screen, I can't do anything at that point.

In the fastboot menu all I can see is

Bootloader
Reboot Bootloader
Reboot
Power down.

Stuck.

All you need to do is get to the fastboot screen which you can do, then plug the usb cable in and run the unbranded RUU.

Hmmm, can't find a connection to the phone via the USB, yet it shows on the PC as connected and the phone shows Fastboot USB....

Uh oh

Download this
http://db.tt/MyTqmR2

Rename it pb99img.zip

You need to get it on your sd card (the gold one) via a reader. Put it on the root of sd I.e not in any folder.

Boot to hboot and it should pick it up and run it from there

Just gave it on last bash, it recognised the phone!!

But the battery is low!!

Might try in the morning, will give that zip file a go if that doesn't work.

Appreciate all your help mate, cheers.
