Ok. Im running Mikg 2.55. I have the latest chopseuy kernel and running the v6 supercharger. I have not better than 4 hoours of battery life in the last couple days with the brightness on all the way down and killing apps constantly. What the heck? is it the rom kernel or what. this battery life is just too bad. I love the rom and dont want to dump it but i am about too. any help appreciated

Try a different kernel. I'm on mik 2.55 with the kernel loaded with it, and I get almost a full days use of my phone.

Ok. I will. But the first day i had it i still only got about 5 hours with that kernel and thats y i switched...

Get rid of your task killer if your running one.

Was this a fresh install when you installed Mik and the kernel?

What does your battery statistics say is eating up so much battery?

Try all available kernels for a day or two. Then if that doesn't work, we may need to downgrade your pri and nv.
I'm downgraded, have been since I rooted. 1.77 pri and nv stopped massive battery drain on my phone.

how to i downgrade my prl?

Try the kernels first. Your phone may just not like the current kernel. Try all three Freedom kernels, your phone may like one of them. Only downgrade if you don't have another choice.

If you want to skip straight to the downgrade here you go:

You need to download the .zip files from xda for the nv and pri version you are trying to run. I would try the 1.77 version of both the nv and pri.

[ Radios ][ 9-5 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

download the files and put them on the root of your sd card.
boot into recovery and full nandroid
Wipe dalvik and cache partition multiple times
Flash either the nv or pri, ONE AT A TIME!!
flash one, then reboot, BE PATIENT!!! Do not pull the battery!!
Boot back into recovery, wipe caches again, flash the other, reboot.
Be patient again!!
I haven't heard of any bricking with pri or nv flashes, but I would treat them like radios, with kid gloves.

Remember you flash these at your risk, ask questions if your unsure before you flash and bork something.
I flashed these back when I was an uber noob, plus I'm completely illiterate.....well thats not true, but you get where I'm going with this. :D

I can say this:
MikG v2.55 with More Freedom kernel using the smartass governor in setcpu, I get 30+ hours of constant texting, facebook browsing, brightness right above lowest and choppy signal.

I keep trying to set my setcpu but my superuser keeps crashing and won't let me allow setcpu to run with root access. I'm on mik 2.55 with freedom kernel and 1.77 prof and nv.

Did the pri and nv downgrade help your battery life?
Even if you were on the stock kernel, you should see an immediate difference.
If the permissions fix doesn't work, just delete SU, and download from the market, reinstall. Should work...I think ;)

Im on mikg2.5.5 with the stock kernel that comes with the rom and no battery or cpu adjustments 9 hrs 52 mn with moderate use and 52%. I seem to get the best results from the stock kernel.

I can't really tell if the pri and nv downgrade really helped, cause I was at school all day and there is no service there so my phone was searching for service all day. It seems like it could have possibly helped.

Ok. I'm gonna downgrade the prl and flashthe more freedom kernel now.. but what is the difference between the 4 different versions? Whichever one that has the best battery life is the one I want.

Idk, I downloaded the more freedom universal.zip, I wasn't sure so I just chose that one lol. They also say it takes a little while for it all to settle in, so hopefully I see some more out of it.
