Help Horrible battery

I've been off charger for four and a half hours with about a 10 minute call and about 50 texts and my phone went from 99% to 23% right now. This battery is comparable to my original EVO. This guy is going back to the store tomorrow.

Might need to swap it out for a new phone. Mine isn't anywhere near that bad.

Neither is mine. With the sort of usage described, I will get a full day out of mine.
Have you tried a different battery? The one you have could be faulty.

Since the battery is not removable (unless you tear the phone down and replace it, then put it all back together), they would need to get the phone replaced.

Probably worth getting the phone replaced, as the standby time on the One S is one of its better features. I'm easily going two days between charges, with moderately high usage.

I'm thinking I got a bad phone. It also keeps telling me I'm in a different city that is about a half hour away on the weather widget, my text keep getting stuck when I try to send them and when I try to go into my google+ it can't find my location at all. I came over from Sprint and an EVO 3D and didn't have any issues like this.
This all occurs while I'm in either 2G or 4G coverage.

I've actually been very impressed by the battery. The day I got the phone I was a bit surprised as it was draining fast, but after making some adjustments it's working very good now. Funny thing is the default weather/clock widget on the main desktop seems to suck a ton of battery. I took that off cause honestly a great invention called a window is more than enough to find out the weather, and the phone already has a clock in the top corner.

That plus turning off unneeded services like GPS and wifi, bluetooth. Unless your going to use them. and lowering brightness. I actually had the phone on idle for almost an hour and the battery was still at 100% charge. going on 3 hours it was at 95% with some minor usage.

I don't see why with moderate usage why it wouldn't last more than a day maybe even 2. I don't see that as bad. I'm actually very surprised it's that good. (First smartphone for me) :)

So maybe OP got a bad one? But seriously try removing that weather widget it's crazy it made quite a big difference for me.
