Root "Hosts"

[JohnnyBravo1000]

I'm aware that Titanium greys out and puts a line through things which are currently not installed when you are browsing the backup and restore menu.

I'm also aware that a fresh backup and reboot can remove these apps if they're not currently on the phone.

However, I have one called "hosts" and I'm not sure what it is. It's not currently installed and there is no backup data.

Could somebody enlighten me?!

It's for AdFree, its the ad server addresses that are to be blocked

I thought that would be the case.

I think it could be to do with the fact I had to uninstall AdFree, reinstall it and reboot in order to get it work on the latest version of LeeDroid's ROM (2.3d) meaning the old "hosts" is no longer on the phone?

I can't manage to get rid of the hosts, or remove the grey line!

*Bump*

Any idea why I can't remove this? Or am I not supposed to remove this Hosts File?

It appeared when I uninstalled and reinstalled AdFree in order to get it working on the latest LeeDroid ROM.
