Help HOT Battery Help

I was charging my evo today and after about half way through the indicator light started flashing green to orange over and over, and the charge indicator was no longer present on my battery bar. I felt the phone and it was considerably hot. I have an otter case with the hard shell then the rubber over that. Is this case over heating my battery when charging causing the phone to flash and terminate charging?

A case cannot cause your battery to overheat. Do you have a white EVO? Those have been known to overheat.

Were you using the stock charger...no cheap eBay charger?
If no to these questions something is wrong with the battery or your unit. Take back to Sprint.

black evo stock charger i dont neccessarily know if the battery over heated, i just know it was hot and the indicator light was switching between green and orange and the little lightning bolt was gone on my battery bar.. not sure what the switching light means

Was your phone sitting outside in the hot sun or were you charging it in an extremely hot environment? If not, phone has battery issues or its your device. Return that sucka.

was inside on charger, i live in Chicago so temps are mild, was messin around on the phone, playin a game, browsing market place. and it stopped charging and started flashing green/orange. Tomorrow i will take it in and see what they say
