Root Hot spot connectivity ISSUE!

I am really sorry if I am not in the correct forum for this but I'm in a real pickle right now...

I have just started having connectivity issue with my laptop and EVO. I simply fire up the hot spot as I've done many times before but now it simply will NOT connect. After I run the troubleshooter I get the message[ "Wireless Network Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration ]. I do not work with this stuff enough to remember where I go to make changes.

I would appreciate any guidance (BTW - I'm using my Eco to do this!)...

yer in trouble now mister..lol..jk..:D
nah, yer fine.
I don't know about wifi hotspot, I just thought I'd razz ya a little:)

LOL! Yeah this yanks me off cause it has always worked well but now that I REALLY need the laptop internet connection, NOOOOOOOOOOO! It's gotta be in my friggin wireless network settings ....someWHERE!...

Help...

Perhaps either booting into recovery and clearing cache and dalvik cache or, go into the app and clearing cache and data.
You may have to re sign in or something.
Like I said, I dont use it but I know if one of my apps is acting wonky, that's what I do.:D

Hey man, Ill try it!!

Thanks :)

What settings are you using within the app itself?

Actually, I dont recall ever making any settings within the app. Heck, I dont ever remember going to the app to open it! I just pull down the notification bar and touch the icon to enable it...

I'll look around and see if I can tell what the settings are ..

Well, not sure here but something changed and I'm now on my hotspot!

As Mikestony suggested, I did the cache and dalvik cache wipe and again, it's now working . Not that I'm sad about it working, I simply am not CERTAIN that's what did it.

One thing I've noticed is, EVERYTIME I want to connect to my wifi hotspot, it creates a new 'address' and it started with "Android1", then Android2", "Android3"...., I'm now on "Android39"! Seems that I would be able to 'capture' one of these and then next time I want to connect, it would be in memory and it would pop up and then connect. Nope. That's simply not the way it works! WhatamIdoinwrong?:D

EDIT: Rxpert - I looked for the app icon in my app drawer (I am certain I saw it very recently) but it was nowhere to be found! What up wit dat?
