Hotmail email displayed as plain text - why?

I just wondered why my Hotmail email's are displayed as plain text, whereas the Gmail is shown as HTML (ie pictured up and pretty).

Is there anything we can do to the HTC email program to alter the way Hotmail messages are displayed?


My Blackberry shows images and stuff on emails.

As far as I've been able to tell, hotmail activesync has disabled html. None of the email apps display hotmail in html

If in mail settings the 'Mail size limit' is set to 1KB or 5KB then the mail is only text.
With setting 100KB you also will become html mail

EDIT: I have GMX mail, hotmail may general restricted like Jeremy said.
