Dear members,
I deleted my hotmail email and wants to create another but when I input my email and password ( and I am sure they are correct), I have this error message " can't connect to server" and I have strong internet connection, what do I do? Thanks.

Go into your settings > apps > all > email app and exchange and clear all data. Try to re-set it up again and let us know :-)

I did exactly that but does not work but for the Exchange i cannot see option for clear data but force stop, disable and clear cache and i did not temper with them.

have you checked incoming settings for email?
should be able to check under the menu button

also, how are you setting it up, manually or automatically?

Automatically! What's incoming settings? I do not have it while setting the email

This should work.
1. Go to Settings > Accounts > + Add account
2. Choose Corporate (MS Exchange)
3.When prompted to set up an Exchange account enter your full hotmail email address and your Password > press Next
4. At the "Domain\Usewrname" again replace what's preconfigured with your full hotmail email address > followed by your Password
5. Change the "Server" field entry to "m.hotmail.com" (without quotes)
6. Leave everything else as is and press Next
7. Most of the preconfigured settings on this page should work "out-of-the-box", but you may also want to put a tick againt "Send email from this account by default" if this is the only mail account you'll have. Press Next.
8. You can use a different name for your account of keep the one suggested (your email address). Press Next
8. You're done. Your new hotmail account is now set up and ready to use. For any settings you'll find it under Settings > Accounts > Corporate where you can choose to sync/or not Calendar, Mail and Contacts with your live/hotmail account.
9. Finally, place a shortcut for your hotmail account on any of your homescreens; it is the white envelope with a yellow @ sign in the centre not the Gmail one. All done.

I can't pass number 5, when I click on NEXT it says CAN'T CONNECT TO SERVER.

Just tried it myself again and it definately works. When you refer to step 5. make sure that the server name is m.hotmail.com as the suggestion displayed will be hotmail.com - you need to refer to m.hotmail.com and then it will complete the set up!

This is what I did.
Domain username > my full email
Password > my email password
Server > m.hotmail.com ( no mistake there)
Use secure connection > ticked
Accept all SSL certificate > unchecked
Client certificate > none
When I hit NEXT after that > CAN'T CONNECT TO SERVER.

Well, although I don't use hotmail anymore, I do have an old hotmail account I have tested this with and it still works. However, I also tried another method, which seems to work also. When you go to add an account choose the basic email account (the one with the white envelope and yellwow @ logo). All you need to do is enter your correct hotmail address and password and the setup will do the rest - this also definately works. If it still doesn't work then I am out of suggestions.

Well, I think you are because I did all that but it did not work.

I found the solution. I upgraded to 4.0.4( just got the alert this morning) and it now works! I am able to set the hotmail email. Thanks very much.

Hotmail Emails load with hyperlinks in BLUE which are pictures or images. I have to go to bottom of the email to click "Load more details" which will then load proper email page. This happens with all the emails and not from any one particular sender.
I have tried different set up under setting including "Size to retrieve - ALL but still does not load the full email as it would on a PC or on my HTC Desire.

Is anyone has this problem with Hotmail or Gmail which uses built in app in S3 (i.e. Add an account) . Is there a reliable 3rd party Android app for hotmail?

I have spoken to Samsung and T-mobile tech support and they told me that this is the way it works.

Also the big annoying thing is that to load full email, you have to go to the bottom of the email sometime by swiping 10 times to click on "Load more Details"

All the options under the setting are ticked to ensure that I can load full email and picture etc but still email do not load fully without clicking .
