hotspot nightmare

I bought my lg motion about a month ago. after about a week I noticed an update to update firmware to e. I proceeded with the update and noticed I lost my mobile hotspot. by then followed sammyz unbricking guide. I flashed my firmware back to c one prior to my stock firmware d. Still no hotspot except to certain sites like and youtube and
My personal favorite xbox live. The problem is im trying to do my school work and look for a job. I have rooted my phone and still none of the tethering apps work. I have tried barnacle, wifi tether free, pdanet, foxfi, open garden and another app that looks like wifi tether free but green instead of yellow no results. My wifi is off so ill get that question out of the air due to the fact i have no home internet atm. I am currently back on firmware d again via ota. I just want my awesome phone back to the way it was..any help is appreciated

This is because MetroPCS sees the useragent, You can either a) Download Firefox and the UserAgent switcher addon, or b) View my thread here This will solve your problems and all sites will load.

This is a load metro does not prevent you that hard from doing anything, they try and fail. Seriously most if not all tethering/hotspot issues are user error other than default apps on the phone almost all wifi hotspot/ tether apps from the play store don't work simply cause you want them to, they have to be configured properly.that being said the one and only app that I have ever paid for is klink that sucker its so good it works the way its supposed to. Almost true plug and play. And yes no wifi you have to usb tether but trust when i tell you its so simple and the speeds are flawless also klink has a special Lil something for the phone provider klink has a very unique way of vpn tunneling/ hiding that all page requests are coming from a computer. They will only see that what ever is done while you tether that you only used your phone!!! :D

why do you assume to tell others that they are wrong when it has been proven that they can and do detect the browser type to block hotspot/tethering access? especially with just a join date of january. I understand that from other posts you are trying to be helpful. However, try to do so w/o insulting other's efforts and knowledge. Tethering/hotspot issues are known to be a fact with the latest firmware upgrades.

I'd been tethering with hotspot just fine on D, then it was grey'd out on E. Just would not do a thing at all, no way, shape, or form.

Going back to D resolved it all.
