Accessories how are the otterbox cases?

I would like to get an Otterbox case for my Incredible case, but I don't know if I should get the commuter or defender. I need it to stay somewhat slim, because it is in my pocket a lot, and I need it to have some resistance to water and sand, because I go to the beach a lot. I can't tell which one is better. It seems the commuter is slimmer but the defender is more for resistance to water and dust. which should I chose?

you have kind of answered your own question, it you need it to be the most protective then get the defender if you can be a little careful when you are in a rough spot then get the commuter.

i have a defender and like it but like you have said it is very bulky and I am going to get a commuter in the next few weeks

I have the commuter purely because i hate, hate, hate trying to get a silicone case out of my pocket. Commuter slides in and out easily.

I had the defender and had issues with the inc overheating all the time. Took the case off, now I have no probs with it. Sucks, $50 down the drain lol.

Commuter case is awesome. Build quality is A+. Love it. Bought one for my daughter and she loves it too. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a case that adds a touch of class to a real incredible piece of technology.

I would not recommend the Defender case unless you plan on putting your DInc through hell and back, like if you worked construction or something. I got one, and don't get me wrong, it's a great case and GREATLY protects your phone, at the cost of size however. It's really bulky, and doesn't feel good in your pocket (or didn't to me at least).

Great case, just a lot more bulk than I thought it would be. However, I have seen the commuter case on one before, and they are a lot less bulky and still offer great protection. Either one is well worth the money I think, it's more of a matter of preference than anything.

I have a competitive brand. Hate it. Too bulky. I just use a rubber cover. Seems fine.

just got the commuter and like it a lot slimmer and just feels good in you hand compared to the defender

Her defender if you need most protection or want belt clip over pocketing.

I have defender and love it. Has a minor engineering flaw but they replaced it without hassles.

They are worth the money to me. I wouldn't suggest defender at the Beach though. Silicone attracts sand.

I have a commuter and at first I really hated it. (lint)
Then I loved it. (clean)
Now I hate it again. (charger cover won't go back into the charger slot, the top just slides right back out. Tried bending it as much as possible, but it just doesn't fit like it used to. )
