How bad is your keyboard lag?

I never tried, but maybe I can upload it to megaupload or something...

I don't know if the people on XDA frown upon that though... I registered to download it... I usually never register unless I plan on being active on a forum... I made an exception there because XDA can come in handy for the future since they are BOUND to release a 30fps freed ROM some time soon...

When I use the X keyboard, it's 10x worst... IME as well... Outside of the browser / these forum reply boxes it's ok... Like URL typing...

Yes! This happens to me on my moment. Hardware qwerty, swype, virtuaboard, anything. This is a theory, but I don't think it plays nice with PHP/AJAX the site is scripted with.

That's also precisely why I use tapatalk pro.

You know, I have "try tapatalk" on my to do list for a LONG time now... I think it's finally time...

I installed the IME mod again but this time turned on vibration (while plugged in) and it is running better on ChompSMS than both the Droid and stock keyboard... I also killed all running non system apps using spare parts... Still the site is killing my keyboard...

P.S. Kinda ironic that Androidforums don't work well with Android phones eh? LOL...

I just tested it out, and I get the same lag that you show in the video, so know that it is not only you. I just use the stock browser, but I wonder if any other browser would handle it better.

My Evo-Droid X keyboard is not working with haptic feedback. I made sure to check the preferences and restarted the phone, but still no dice...

P.S. Keyboards does not need any ROM to install, you just need the apk, then go into home screen, hit menu > settings > keyboard > check your apk > go into text field > long hold > choose input method > select your apk

Tried the Droid X keyboard, it's not bad, nice and big, which is nice, but the space bar is still too small compared to my iPhone. I always end up hitting the period instead of the space bar, even after almost 3 weeks with my EVO. It still lags a bit, which is pretty lame.

I got it and can't even seem to get it to install right.

If you don't want the SDK, you can download "Installer" from the android market. You place apk files in the root of your SD card and it'll find the files.

Hmm... so i can definitely type noticeably faster with this keyboard and the spacing on the keys. However this is moot because its too fast to register my keys. During an im it kept missing letters that showed as having been pressed. On this reply post online the lag is horrendous.

you have to long press the period key for the comma

Or double tap it to instantly get a comma without pulling up the menu.

Hope not just you, it picks and chooses for me. For instance all my replies in this thread are lagging terribly. Like really bad. However i replied to the droid x keyboard thread and it was fine. Now as im typing this its horrendous again. Weird.
