How can I make a flashable zip to flash via CWM?

I have searched and searched.. at one point I read a 20 page thread only to find out at the end the method didnt work from gingerbread onwards. Just wondering if there is a simple way of making flashable zips I can use in CWM?

Yes there is a very simple way. Edit a flashable zip thats already been made.
What are you trying to flash? apps? themes?

Also this should be in root section.

It doesnt matter now, I ended up reading on how to use ADB instead and did it through that
