Root how can i root 2.2 OTA??

Droid 2 <There is this, which is essentially the same. I had to run through the root process 3 or 4 times before it was successful. Maybe if you state exactly what went wrong someone could help you a little more.
 
nothing that i know of went wrong... ill try and run it again and see if i can spot anything weird.

Even at the end it said you now have root but i dont.
 
So you have a superuser app in your app drawer? My issue was it kept saying this exploit failed would you like to try again?
 
yeah but i had it after the OTA... i forgot to unroot (fail) I dont know if this is my prob or not


edit... i tried to keep root over the update thats why its there... i was told if i moved SU to xbin it would stick ..... it did not
 
question.. im sorta a noob but i did the 2.2 leaked rom via rom manager.. if i want to go back to 2.1 can i just go though the bootstrap and restore to the back up i did before i installed the rom?

im not sure on that... i am a noob an android myself... maybe someone will come in here and be able to answer that
