Help How can I send notification sound by mms?

What am I missing here? A friend heard my sms notification sound which is a custom sound that was mms'd me by another friend, and wanted it. I promised him I'd mms it to him, but I can't find how!

When starting a sms, I don't see sounds in attach in the native messaging app. I use handcent, and it allows me to select audio, but it looks like just my ringtones, not anything in my notification folder.

Sure, I can plug this in to my computer and move the file over to ringtones, but am I overlooking any other way?

The only way I was able to send them with Handcent, was to temporarily copy the notification I wanted to send to my ringtone folder using the Astro file explorer.

It's probably not the best way to do it, but it's the only way I've been able to do it so far.

so handcent will send mp3?
ive tried other ways and nothing worked even astro will only mms pics and stuff but no mp3 files
i dont do it often but it would be nice to send a ringtone to someone withot jumping through hoops

use astro to email the sound to therenumber@vzwpix.com

they will get it as a text just like they should if they are on verizon. other carriers have similar email links you can look them up.
