Help How can I sync my Gmail only?

I used to have Samsung S3 where it gives me the options of which service to sync with google such as contacts or Gmail or calendar, now that I have moved to LG G3 I could not find this option, I have to sync all services or not to sync at all.
Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks for your reply, but this will sync all data and I want to select GMail only .

uncheck everything but app data,Try that.

There are no check boxes as I used to have in my old Galaxy S3

Did you actually click on the gmail account at top of google settings? It opens all services syncable with chechboxes. Dont click on the sync symbol, just the text.

Yes I did, and I'm using andriod version 5.0, what is your andriod ?

I am on 23b.
Next thing to try is remove google account and re-add.
