HOw can I unlock s4 locked onto EE ?

I'm going on hols soon and want to unlock my UK EE s4 so I can put a french sim in it, I'm 12 months into a 24 month contract

Since EE is half-owned by France Telecom, EE may be able to provide you with a suitable SIM if you tell them you are moving to France.

It's always good to have a choice so, if it were me I'd still take the advice from ironass above but I'd also explain to EE anyway and see what solution they offer.
