Well that's because, technically, they ARE all rumors...
Neither HTC nor Verizon have confirmed anything regarding the mysterious OTA or Froyo for the Incredible.
Something like this...Tera has had her Dinc a week?![]()
Because there pretty much is no official info and the info that is "leaked" is usually wrong. Even some of the more "shoot from the hip" blogs are doing the "?" thing now or some other caveat.
VZW really seems to suck in regards to Inc marketing:
1. Lack of information
2. Lack of clarity on the amoled / lcd transition (perhaps intentional)
3. Design the USB in a POOR location, unless a dock is coming out, which it apparently is not.
4. Though I appreciate the amoled display, putting it on the Inc in the first place, when it was already obvious amoled displays may be constrained due to the global roll-out of Samsung devices. Not to mention amoled's higher than lcd fallout rate in production.
5. Poor add-on awareness. Case in point, the extended battery and lack of covers for this.
Luv my Dinc, but seems VZW dropped the ball with the product and perhaps has their hands too full releasing so many devices in a short span of time. Perhaps the root cause are the amoled issues that sped up the launch plans for the Moto products. I think this fits, since now Moto is low on channel flow for X's. Probably launched a month too early.
Except this still hasn't been confirmed by Verizon themselves. Until I hear word from Verizon, and not just "unofficially official" sources, I'll be waiting patiently.Android updates mini-roundup; Ally, Galaxy S, DROID X, Incredible | DroidDog Android Blog
