Help How display screen during call?

Newbie
When my screen locks during a phone call, I can't figure out how to unlock it. If I press the power button, I get disconnected. Any suggestions? I've tried pressing different icons at the bottom of the phone, but they don't have any effect because the phone is locked! I've also tried to press and hold the power button, but that just disconnects me as well.

Thanks -- Barbara

Can't help you with the unlock problem, but how about if you make the screen stay on?

There is a free app that will do that: Screen On - Appbrain

You'll just have to be careful that your face doesn't push a button.

Barbara - Is your proximity sensor working? If it is, the screen should go black when you pull it close to your face on a call. When you pull it away, it should turn on.

Proximity sensors are designed into all Android phones, so that your face doesn't press any buttons while on a call.

Press Menu > Settings > Accessibility

Uncheck power button ends call.

Now you can turn your screen back on without ending the call.

Thanks for posting that 411, SporkLover!...LOL...I never even paid attention to that setting before, so that reminded me that you could do that. I don't remember seeing that available on the EVO before, but I could've just over looked it.
