How do I back-up everything reliably

Hi Everyone,

Could someone please help me to back-up all my apps,contact and data from my phone as i cant get KIES to download without a glitch and I am only able to copy "my Files" onto my laptop.I want to get ICS or Jellybean and when i do i want to be sure i can get all my stuff back afterwards.

Apps + App Data: Titanium Backup but IT NEEDS ROOT ACCESS.
Contacts: Contacts > Menu Button > Import/Export Contacts > Export to Internal Storage
Messages: SMS Backup and Restore; free from Play Store

Hey mate! You could also try an app called Super Backup. Really good.
