how do i back up my contacts

I just got my 3rd Phone today in the mail and im really hoping it works this time but my question is when i go to switch phone will all my other stuff switch like contacts and apps and stuff !! Is there a way i can make this happen thanks I really don't wanna re enter it all for the 3 time

Your contacts will sync up with google so that is easy. The apps you have installed from the market will show up in the market place when you sign onto your new phone.

if you backup the apps from an app program like Sprite Backup, or MyBackup Pro, you will backup the apps and their data but you wont have links to update them in the market place, but most people like My

This is a dumb question but if I am synced up with google how do I access google to find out where the contacts are? Where in google do I check?

Go to gmail.com, log in ... then select contacts

Thanks. I was looking at the most used contacts list in gmail and so thought they weren't appearing.
