How do I change my default voice mail?

Before voice mail would go directly to my device but now I have to call an external number to get my voice mail.

I really miss hearing the voice mails directly from my phone without having to dial out. How do I restore this feature?

do you mean google voice? I somehow got switched over to voice for vmails, and I HATE IT. It wont even tell me when I have a new voicemail, let me listen to them, or delete them. UGH. Can we get some answers?? lol
