Help How do i change the HTC mail notification sound?

Hi chaps.

The HTC mail app notification sound is set as the defaul tone. I think its called Alpha, but i wants to change it.

I have tried settings >> sound >> Notification sound andit still stays with the same basic notification sound that i absolutely hate .

Any ideas? any help will be grately appreciated.

go to the mail app and look for settings/options in there - try the options button (or whatever its called - one of the 4 on the bottom with home & back)

In HTC mail there is a only a tick for Notificiation sound, you don't get to chose the jingle

It is actually possible to select your own notification sound for Email.
It's a little bit illogically found under

Personalize, Personalize Sound, Notification Sound.

If you select this, you can then choose individual sounds for :

Default notification (Gmail in my own case)
Message (Texts)
Calendar
Email (my second email account) !!!
